Robert Goldman is a 1993 graduate from the Duquesne University School of Law and holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Miami (FL). He has managed his own law firm since 2001 and offers a wealth of experience over a broad range of legal matters. His practice areas include business development, civil litigation, criminal defense, real estate, and administrative agency law. His administrative practice includes representing clients before a multitude of administrative agencies, such as workers compensation, unemployment, EEOC, Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, and the Pennsylvania State Horse Racing Commission. He has handled cases in both state and federal court and has been lead counsel in several appeals before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, the Commonwealth Court, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, as well as appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
He is also a member of the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General Corps and currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Between 2009 and 2013, he was deployed multiple times, having served tours in Afghanistan as a member of the NATO Rule of Law Field Force, in Iraq as the Command Judge Advocate for the 807th Medical Brigade, defense team for detainees held at Guantanamo Bay, Cube and as part of a special research project known as the Capital Litigation Working Group. While deployed, he was awarded two Bronze Stars, an Army Commendation Medal, a Joint Service Commendation Medal, NATO Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Iraq Campaign Medal with Two Campaign Stars, and an Overseas Deployment Ribbon.
